In preparation for our 2008 Trade Show Season, we are taking a new approach this year. With the ever rising costs associated with exhibiting at the trade shows across the country due primarily to sky high fuel costs and travel costs in general, we are going to offer you the same attractive "Show Specials" we would offer you as if we were exhibiting at the shows. Also, in preparation for this year's end inventory, we have a significant amount of used and demo gear to liquidate. Feel free to call the shop and make a request for a demo rod or reel or both. We have everything from one weight through 12 weight rods and all sizes and models of reels that need to go and are priced that way! We also have a significant number of fly lines left over from the 2007 trade show season "on sale" until they are gone. 2008 Show Season Specials: Rod & Reels And Combos
Trade show season brings about interest from all levels of fly fishers looking to "find a deal". This year, because we were unable to exhibit at all the trade shows we normally attend, we have introduced an entire new series of fly rods called the "Nomad" travel rods and made them available on-line. These incredibly priced rods are four piece and range in line weights from three through eight. These rods are very similar to our regular "Traveler" Series four piece rods. The primary differences are in the reel seat skeleton and the finish on the blank itself. The reel seat skeleton is a tough gunmetal-titanium colored anodized aluminum and have beautiful rosewood inserts (seven and eight weights have saltwater style seats with a fighting butt). The rod blanks sport a matte finish and have black thread wraps. These Nomad rods have a med-fast action and progressive flex, as do the Traveler Series rods, and are very easy loading smooth casting and powerful rods. As with all Elkhorn rods, these rods come with a cordura nylon (black) covered sturdy rod tube with Elkhorn logo embroidery. Special combination rod/reel/line packages are also available on-line. Select the combo option and receive a rugged die-cast mid-arbor reel, neoprene reel pouch, weight forward floating fly line (most popular colors available, specify at time of order), and 20# braided dacron backing. You will not find a better value on a rod/reel/line combo anywhere in the industry guaranteed. You will be amazed at the value this combo deal represents.
