Synthetic Disk Drag System
MA stands for maximum arbor which translates to faster line pickup and minimum line coil. These beautiful reels are fully machined with multiple lightening ports to remove excess material without compromising strength. And these reels incorporate our proven disk drag system. The result is an ultra-light reel with workhorse stopping power.

All Elkhorn reels are fully machine-cut from aircraft-quality T6 aluminum billet stock for supreme strength and maximum corrosion resistance. Low inertia drag systems result in minimum start-up resistance. Precision ball bearings glide over a polished chromium alloy spindle to create the silky smooth drag and retrieve that our reels have built their reputation upon.
