Elkhorn AMP Series Fly Rod

We are pleased to announce our latest series of fly rod with the Elkhorn AMP Series fly rod. This fly rod promises to impress even the most descriminating fly rod caster with its smoothness and beauty. This is the first time Elkhorn has ever built a fly rod on an "unsanded" blank. What this means is that these rods will offer the utmost in strength and reliability without sacrificing anything in weight and performance. Most rod blanks are sanded to deliver a very smooth finish. We have decided to forgo this asthetic feature to offer instead the depth and beauty of a clear-coated deep blue painited finish over an unsanded surface. What it delivers is the smoothest casting lightest feeling most affordable fly rod on the market today.

Elkhorn Big Game Series Fly Rods

Designed for those in pursuit of larger freshwater and saltwater species from salmon and steelhead up to giant tarpon. These rods feature a reinforced butt section for extra lifting power when hooking up with much larger fish. Each rod features saltwater-safe hardware, a fighting butt, and oversized stripper guides, snake guides and tip-top.

Elkhorn EX3 Series Fly Rods

This series of rods were designed with a stiffer butt section to generate higher line speed and superb accuracy with a slightly higher modulus graphite. The faster progressive action is perfect for making longer casts or cheating the wind. Each model will effectively handle two line sizes to allow greater flexibility under changing conditions.

Elkhorn Micro Series Fly Rods

These small rods are amazing to cast, especially in tight places, but work equally well on open water. These medium-fast action rods are finished with a dark blue thread wrap and now feature alignment dots on each rod section. Don't be miffed... these small rods cast a tight loop with amazing ease and accuracy.

Elkhorn Nomad Series Fly Rods

These rods are very similar to our regular "Traveler" Series four piece rods. The primary differences are in the reel seat skeleton and the finish on the blank itself. The reel seat skeleton is a tough gunmetal-titanium colored anodized aluminum and have beautiful rosewood inserts (seven and eight weights have saltwater style seats with a fighting butt). These Nomad rods have a moderate action and progressive flex and are a very easy loading, smooth casting and powerful rods.

Elkhorn Split Cane Bamboo Series Fly Rods

Elkhorn Split bamboo rods are based on classic tapers that are considered by modern day purists to be some of the finest casting rods ever made. Three and four weight rods are available with cork reel seat inserts. Five weight models have a Birdseye maple reel seat insert.
